Clueless about bags here...return a RED Dooney Bourke bag? (finally with link to pic)
My ILs bought me a Dooney Bourke pocket book this year for Xmas. I am pretty clueless about bags and fashion in general. What are your thoughts on Dooney Bourke pocket books? I am thinking of returning it. It cost about $280 and is red, which is a bit too much of a fashion statement for clueless me.
What should I do? Get something else in a more basic color and if so, what? I def could use a new bag. I am still using a diaper bag thingy. My DD is 3. LOL

I'd return it, it doesnt like you are too thrilled by it. and it's too costly to have if you aren't wow'd by it, you know? maybe you can return it and get something you'd prefer more.

I dont have it in front of me now but I am pretty sure this is it. I just cant see myself, a fashion clueless person, using this bag, mostly b/c it's red. But I am also curious what others think about the style and color in general. I have no idea if it's a popular name, style, etc.

I really like that Dooney a lot, but if you don't than you should return it and get something you'll use.
Edt. cause I see you are worried about the red, don't be! Red is a neutral in my eyes, goes with everything....black, brown, tan, blue, grey etc...

I really like the looks of the bag and it seems practical and classic, but I'd prefer it in black.

That bag is a great shape. I wouldn't worry about the color at all. It can be a pop of color when wearing neutrals.

I like it a lot.
Like you, I'm a bit red- phobic, but I think it would look nice with just about everything- like others have said- red is almost a neutral
If you really don't like it though- I'd see if I coudl get it in another color.
I really like DB bags

Ditto for me....I was waiting to cringe and feel bad while the site was loading but was presently surprised .
I would keep it and try it out.
I know you said you still use a diaper bag but I would either use a 1 gallon ziplock bag or go on JuJu Be's website and get the space station bag. I keep 3 diapers, a change of clothes, wipes and 1 jar of food and spoon in the back and I keep it in my car. I have 3 kids and the baby is just shy of 9 months and that is all I use. I only use a diaper bag if I am out of the house all day. A ziplock of baby stuff would definitely fit in that bag if you were running out.

Have I told you lately how much I hate that no longer live in LI? we are like separated at birth! lol I do the same thing.. I don't remember the last time I carried or had an actual diaper bag!

I love it- I am pretty conservative fashion-wise but I have a few red purses and I love them, because they jazz up my look without being TOO much. I also got to the point where I realized all my bags were neutral. But if you don't love it, definitely exchange it.

My DD is potty trained. I use a LeSportsac bag that I keep in the car for her change of clothes, toilet covers, car potty, etc. But my everyday bag is a JuJubee and I need to get away from the diaper bag thingies since DD is fully potty trained. Just havent had time to shop, that's all.

Thanks everyone. I am surprised you all like it so much. I am so clueless about this stuff and didnt want to walk around looking like an old lady or a clueless idiot. LOL
But I think I am going to return it for a black or neutral bag. I just cant do the red...I just dont have enough other fashion sense to support a red bag IMO.

That is a stunning, classic/timeless bag. I love it in red. I think it is a great neutral pop of color. If the red is what is throwing you off, I would get it in a different color. It is a fantastic shape bag. You are very lucky to have received it. I would keep it.

I like their bag, I don't like that style.
I would return it if you don't love it. It's a lot of $$$ to waste. Especially if you are going to find yourself leaving this bag in the closet vs. not.
If you love a bag, you know you will want to use it the moment you see it.
I don't feel like there is such love here!
