What are your favorite cold dips?
I need some ideas for NYE, but I don't want to have to cook/heat up anything. Everyone is coming after dinner, and we are just doing drinks/snacks.

Re: What are your favorite cold dips?
greek salad hummus
Spread plain hummus in a serving dish. Top with 'greek salad'. serve with pita chips. "Greek Salad" ingredients: red onion, cucumber, tomato, kalamata olives, parsley, greek dressing (make your own: red wine vinegar, olive oil, oregano, parsley, crushed garlic, s&p, grated cheese)
```````````````````````````````````````` Oktoberfest Dip: Mix one container of wis Pride cheee spread, 8oz cream cheese, 2 clove crushed garlic, 1/2 bottle of dark beer (add slowly to get right consistency), salt & pepper. Serve with pumpernickle pretzles or bread.
```````````````````````````````````````` Marscapone Fruit Dip: 6 ounces white chocolate 1 cup whipping cream
1 8-ounce marscapone cheese 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Melt chopped white chocolate with 1/2 cup whipping cream in a medium metal bowl set over a saucepan of gently simmering water. Remove the bowl from water and let the chocolate cool to room temperature.
In another medium bowl, whisk 1/2 cup whipping cream, one 8-ounce container mascarpone cheese, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until blended and smooth. Fold melted chocolate into mascarpone.

Re: What are your favorite cold dips?
I love spinach dip, guac, tzaziki.
This one is really yummy too and festive looking.
Feta Dip
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter 3/4 pound feta cheese, crumbled 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 shallot, minced 3 tablespoons dry vermouth ground white pepper, to taste 1/2 cup pine nuts, toasted 1 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes 3/4 cup pesto sauce Directions
In a food processor, combine the butter, feta cheese, cream cheese, garlic, shallot, vermouth, and white pepper. Process until smooth. Oil a medium bowl, or gelatin mold, and line with plastic wrap for easy removal. Layer the dip into the mold as follows: Sun-dried tomatoes, pine nuts, pesto, cheese mixture. Repeat. Pat down into the mold, and refrigerate for at least one hour. Turn the dip out onto a serving plate, and remove plastic wrap. Serve with crackers.

Re: What are your favorite cold dips?
Cheesy Dip (serve with the nacho scoops)
1 green pepper 1 red pepper 1 yellow pepper 4 oz cream cheese 16 oz sour cream 1/2 pkg of taco seasoning 1 pkg shredded cheese any flavor Slice the pepper into strips then dice them. Let all of the extra water in the peppers drain on a paper towel. Meanwhile mix the sour cream and cream cheese in a med. bowl. When mixture is smooth enough,mix in the taco seasoning. In a pan/tray about 9x9 (I usually use one of the leftover chinese take out tupperware things) spread the cream cheese mixture on the bottom, add the peppers on top, then add the shredded cheese to the top of that. You can eat immediately or refrigerate. It will start to get watery if left out too long. Serve with a side of nacho chips or what ever you like. Enjoy. p.s. if you have leftovers, it is great over a piece of chicken, like a Mexican dish.

Re: What are your favorite cold dips?
I have a great one!
You take some goat cheese and spread it into whatever shape you want (depending on how much you have... I usually do oval for smaller and rectangle for larger). Top it with chopped plum tomatoes, chopped sundried tomatoes (the ones made in oil), chiffonade of basil toasted pine nuts (can leave out if allergic). Right before serving, top with a drizzle of olive oil and some balsamic.
DELISH! You can serve with anything! Pita chips, crackers, baguette slices, veggies...

A package of dry ranch dressing with a container of sour cream is always a hit for potato chips.

I saw it on Pinterest. Has no eggs, but supposedly tastes like cookie dough. I was thinking of making for NYE dessert.
