i think once per day is more than sufficient. dont want to overtire your DH to the point that he doesn't produce, or produces a low quantity

Once per day should be adequate.

Our plan was to BD when we can up until BD and Including both days. (Unfortunately, work schedule conflicted days but I'm remaining positive.

I get two and the second usually is my O day. If I got it in the Am I'd try to BD that day even if it's the evening.
