It's amazing how.....
different doctors tell you diferent things. I had always heard like most of you to BD every other day so the good sperm is saved up. When I last went to my dr, she said that's not true. She said count 10 days after AF and BD every day for 7 days. She said all it takes is one sperm. Well..we are still not preggo yet so I told DH last month I wanted to go back to every other day. I just think its weird how different doctors gave different opinions.

It does only take 1... So in that case all you really need to do is bd once .. Its all a personal decision about how often to do it... I think 7days in a row is bit excessive. Especially if you dont know of ur DH has any issuess.

If there are sperm issues, it's recommended you wait 1 day in between to give time to replenish. But, as PP said, it really only takes one so theoretically, you only have to BD once. Doing it every other day gives you a better chance, obviously.

Re: It's amazing how.....
I wish OBs knew more about women's cycles. I feel like I could be an OB at this point.
Yes, if you O between CD 10 and CD 17 that would work - even CD 19 or 20. But some women have longer cycles and can O later making that BD schedule ineffective. If you're having trouble conceiving, you should be temping and using OPKs to confirm that you are actually ovulating and to see if there is a pattern - if you normally O around the same time each cycle.
And yes it only takes one sperm, but who wants to BD every day for a week or 2 weeks not knowing if it's working? IMO it's easier to BD every other day until you get AF or a positive HPT - that's if you're not using OPKs at all.
ETA: that being said unless there are sperm issues, as PP said, there's nothing wrong with BDing every day
