Outdoor Potted Plants/Window Boxes in Winter
Do you just leave them, or do you plant something that will stay for the winter?
I just hate how dreary everything looks with nothing, or withering away plants...

Re: Outdoor Potted Plants/Window Boxes in Winter
I have a neighbor who decorates their window boxes for the season. In November they had pumpkins and gourds. Now they have wrapped presents(not sure exactly what they are if they are meant for outdoors or what.) You could also do fake..

Re: Outdoor Potted Plants/Window Boxes in Winter
My big planters have evergreen wreaths laid on them, anchored with some garden stakes to keep them from blowing over. I usually pile pine cones in the middle, but hurricane Irene stripped them from the trees this year. My window boxes have evergreens and decorative branches in them.
