Re: Help for a friend beginning the IVF procedure
There is so much about the IVF process to write about I'm not sure where to begin! Her RE should go over the details of her protocol with her. Everyone has a different protocol. For me, its a lot to keep up with, all the appts, tests, mixing your own meds and then injecting them was difficult at first. I had some cramping after my ER but nothing 2 tylenol couldn't help. I also had a lot of bloating and discomfort for a few days now since I had my ER - I think its from all the eggs I produced. Tomorrow is my ET so I'm not sure what to expect but I heard its like having an IUI, so it should be very easy!

Thank you for sharing! Good luck to you! She is not shocked it came to this, but she just doesn't know where to start with the coping process. She tested today (11 days past IUI) and got a negative. She was expecting it being the doctor only gave her a 2% success percentage, but she held onto a glimmer of hope. I had IF issues due to pcos so I am trying to be as supportive as possible, but being I did not have IVF, I can sympathize but will not pretend to understand what she is going thru. I wish she lived closer so I could just give her a hug. She really has no support through all of this other than me and her dh
