Machine washable comforter that doesn't fit in the wash?
Just got a brand new RL comforter. I ordered it b/c it was machine washable but, it doesn't fit in my machine! What do you do when you get a new comforter? i don't want to use it without washing it  I don't want the chemicals of the dry cleaner...what should I do?

You would have to go to the laundromat and use the extra large washer and dryer. Or have a laundromat wash it for you.

Laundry mat! I got so fed up with mine that I bought a new white comforter, threw a duvet cover over it, and just wash that very easily 2x a month... More then any comforter gets washed I'm sure!

I shoved a little but, not too hard - I was afraid I would break the machine! We are in a new house and I'm not that familiar with the appliances. But, I'm pretty sure it doesn't fit comfortably!
I don't even know where this is a laundromat around here! Do Dry Cleaners Launder stuff like this? Sorry, for the stupid question.
Maybe I will just return it. This is the whole reason why I don't just do a duvet cover - I like to wash my WHOLE comforter often

Yes, I have a king size quilt nd so it isn't very padded, but it's still a tight squeeze in my washing machine. One time I did wash it in there, I didn't felt like it all got rinsed properly. So now I bring it to the laundrimat and use the big machine that they have there.

I take it to the laundromat and have them wash it.
My dry cleaners does it cheaper though and it smells good. No chemically smell. They say they don't use harsh chemicals.
The King won't fit in my washer either.
