I need the BOARD's opinion... my update

Here is goes.

My RE said it would easy to get my pregnant. Found out,...I am a carrier for Fragile X and my DH has some sperm issues. Not so easy NOW!

My RE is a friend of the family.

I personally waited until July-August, for my first IVF. We needed to do IVF because of the genetics issue and the sperm issue was not really helping.
Result-BFN

My second fresh in Sept/Oct, turned frozen because of a lab error!!!!!
8 embies- 3 were normal
We put 2 back,....chemical

Now,...I have taken my month off. DH are getting a free fresh and frozen from my RE because they made a few errors.

The only thing my doctor is changing is putting me on aspirin and changing to the PIO shot because my progesterone level there dropped to a 3...and then with the PIO went to 18. I asked if the low progesterone could have cause the chemical, he said maybe but they never know.

I asked for a hystercopy (sp) but he said because my saline sono was fine that I did not need one. I asked for any other test, he said nope.

Do you think that is enough of a change? Should I ask for different meds? He is still keeping me on metformin, gonal/follistim, ganirelex and NOW adding PIO and asprin.

Should I ask for more?!?! They are giving me this all for no cost- FRESH/FROZEN and all meds!!!

Oh and I in the education field... do I wait till summer when I have less stress? Or go for it? I hate rushing for work from appts.

Any BTDT advice?!?!

I personally wish I went to an RE a long time ago, its been a long process and road, and half the battle is 'accpeting' infertility and taking control of it by going to the RE, having said that its a personal decision....maybe go for a consultation to another RE so you get someone else's view on our situation? That might help your decision....

Well, the thing is I kind of have to stay with them because they are doing a fresh/frozen for me. I feel like going to another RE would start at the beginning again@

I cant say much about the med change but my advice/opnion is not to wait until your "less stressed". you never know what life will bring, if you want to have a baby, and this is your opportunity to do it, I personally wouldn't wait. But you have to feel right about the decision.

There are so many different protocols its hard to say what meds would be good for you. Maybe you can get a second opinion regarding the meds but still be seen by your RE? I personally wouldn't wait for the "perfect" time because you just never know when that can be! IF is hard to juggle with life but it all works out somehow

Since you only had 8 eggs your last cycle, I would ask your RE what he thinks about increasing your dose to increase your egg count.

How old are you? What are your DH's sperm issues? I'm assuming they are doing ICSI.

Thanks ladies~!! We had 17 embies or so last time, 8 made it to blascocysts.
