Has anyone locked in a rate lately? What was it?
Thanks. Just curious if we got a good rate.
ETA just kidding, DH just told me it's not a jumbo. We got 4.125% on a 30 year conventional with a .125% credit back at closing. No points.

I closed in October on a jumbo. We got 4.62 with no points with .125 point credit back at closing. This was with Chase with 30 year conventional.
Remember jumbo loans have a much higher interest rate.

Locked on a 3.75 nonjumbo loan with 0 points in north NJ back in early November. We're closing this coming Monday.
Rates are different in diff. parts of the country and also depends factors that include the borrower's credit score and the lock period. Luckily DH has stellar credit and we also went with a mortgage broker who can offer a much better rate than many banks can.

Refi 4.25% with 1/8 back at closing.
If the rates dip within 30 days of closing we can have it adjusted one time.
