Ovarian Cysts
Can anyone tell me their experiences with them and how that impacted their fertility?
Thanks!

Re: Ovarian Cysts
I had a cyst which delayed my period from starting...I had to wait it out for around 4 days and my period came finally

Re: Ovarian Cysts
I get them occasionally... they have always resolved on their own and I wasn't trying at the time so I'm not sure what it would have done. However my mom said she had a hard time getting pregnant with me and found out she had a pretty big cyst so they removed it and here I am :)
Though the Dr told me they will usually put someone on BCP to take care of it. I was on BCP already so that's probably it resolved itself.

Re: Ovarian Cysts
When I was in the hospital for kidney stones, they told me I had a cyst on my ovary. Turns out it really was just a follie. But my dr told me most cysts do not interfere with ttc.

Re: Ovarian Cysts
I have one on my left ovary right now. I just went through an ectopic pregnancy in my right tube but it's totally unrelated to the cyst.
My doctor isn't worried about it {said it will go away on its own}, so I'm trying my best not to worry either.

Re: Ovarian Cysts
the size of the cyst in each ovary is interrupting my ovulation because it is not letting me ovulate strong enough which inturn does not allow a follicle to mature. So in this case - the cyst is messing with my TTC

Re: Ovarian Cysts
my mom had a large cyst on each ovary. One was the size of a grapefruit. She had to have surgery and was only left with 1/4 of an ovary at age 26.
She went on to have three completely healthy babies - and three uneventful natural births.

Re: Ovarian Cysts
I currently have one. My doctor is monitoring it because I just came off BCP a couple of months ago, and my cycles have been irregular, so he's checking to see if that is why.

Re: Ovarian Cysts
I have PCOS and don't ovulate naturally, although I can't exactly say how its impacted my fertility because I have soooo many other issues impacting it as well!
ETA: When they discovered ovarian cysts when I was a teen, I was put on the pill to get rid of them. It worked, and basically masked the problem for 10 long years until I went off it to TTC.
