Those that put a lit wreath on a front window, do you use an extension cord and plug it outside or do you somehow bring the wire in the window to plug in house?

We have 2 lit wreaths hanging in windows and we bought battery operated ones. They say for indoor use bc of the battery pack, but we covered the battery pack (ziplock bag and strong tape) and it's fine.

They're very pretty and we got them in Lowes.

we have pre-lit red bows hanging in our bay windows ... they are battery operated on a timer

they go in for 6 hours from 5pm-11pm and then off for 18 hours.

Our wreath is plugged into an extension cord that then connects to other lights in the front of the house.

This is how ours is and it annoys the heck out of me, bc the cord hangs down from the wreath and at night it doesn't matter b/c you can see it but during the day I'm constantly unplugging it b/c I don't like the way it looks. I got to get one of those self lit ones from lowes!

This is what I was afraid of. We always put ours on our door and put the wires through the door, but we got a very expensive glass door this year and I don't want the wreath to scratch the glass. I bought an extention cord, but the outdoor ones are so thick that I am afraid what it will look like.
