Getting Pregnant
Has anyone ever gotten pregnant while on BCP or heard of anyone getting pregnant while on BCP??
DH and I have decided that after my gyno appt in Feb we would go off the pill and "see what happens". I want a baby so badly now that I secretly wish that I get pregnant now even though I'm on the pill. I would never sabotage it I just secretely hope there is a fluke :(

lol they say it can happen since the pill isnt 100% effective...but I dont know anyone that it has happened to
if you take antibiotics or other meds I think it increases the chance of getting pregnant (bc it decreases the effectiveness of the bcp)
i am in the same boat...dh and i are stopping the pill soon and i secretly hoped it would happen when i was sick last month and on antibiotics but no such luck. but when i think about it, its a decision we both make since it is lifechanging so we should both be on the same page about when to stop
February is right around the corner!

I'm so happy to hear that I'm not alone in those thoughts lol. For the same reason you said is exactly why I don't want to do anything to mess up waiting till Feb. but I still hope lol

I was talking to an old friend about my TTC and she told me to go on the pill! She was only joking, but she did get pregnant on the pill. HAHA! She was only engaged for a few weeks when she found out so it looked like a shotgun wedding, which it wasn't. Oh well, she is a happy mommy now! She was the .1% that the BCP failed in!

My co-worker got pregnant on the pill. She took it religiously at the same time every day for YEARS. One day she took it 1-2 hours late and she now has a 6 month old.
Meanwhile, we have been trying for 15+ months with no success.

my SIL, my sister, my sisters bff, all became pregnant while on the pill. their children are all wonderful and amazing and healthy..

Is there a reason he wants to wait until Feb?
Though we wern't officially trying until this cycle, I went off BCP back in August since I was on it for a very long time and I wanted to give my body a chance to get back in a rhythm and regulated. I've had perfectly normal cycles since but I can definitely tell when I ovulate now. I also started taking prenatal vitamins around the same time.

I got pregnant on the pill...
at the time i was horrified i had just gotten back together with my high school sweetheart after graduating college and boom i was pregnant but now i wouldnt change it for the world, we are happily married and just decided to tryfor number 2

i know someone who was on the pill and got preggo..she either was on antiobiotics or took nyquil,one of those bc she was sick and she did not know it made the pill less effective

My mom always told me I'd befertile because I was conceive while she was on the pill. I never asked if she was taking othe rmeds or anything Let's hope. I think we will start trying this cycle.

Didn't know this about Nyquil either. I used to always take it when sick and/or sometimes just to help me fall asleep!

Didn't know this about Nyquil either. I used to always take it when sick and/or sometimes just to help me fall asleep!
I don't knowabout nyquil but antibiotics can definitely make BCPs ineffective.
