Does a lighter than usual AF mean anything?
I'm having a weird AF, much lighter than usual. It started a few days earlier than expected with very light spotting for two days. Then one day of a flow with some cramps, but it wasn't too heavy. only need a couple of light absorbancy tampons througout the day (sorry if tmi). Then yesterday and today very light again. From what I've read about implantation bleeding, it's supposed to be very light, almost unnoticeable, but I did have one day of a "flow" so I don't think it's implantation, but why is it so light as compared to usual? I remember getting really heavy periods before taking BC, so I'm really surprised to see it so light. This is my 3rd period since stopping BC and it's even lighter than the last 2. Is this normal?

Re: Does a lighter than usual AF mean anything?
I'm no expert, but that's exactly what happened to me in my experience. My AF in Sept and Oct both lasted a full 7 days. Then two weeks ago I got what I thought was AF but it was much lighter and shorter (only 4 days) than the previous. Turns out, it actually WAS implantation because I got my BFP last week

Re: Does a lighter than usual AF mean anything?
i have had cycles where it was light..i didnt think any thing other..if it happens again then maybe ask a dr but just one month i would not be too concerned
if this was implantation it would be around 7- maybe 12 dpo not when af is due and it is a one time thing and pretty light from what i have heard

Re: Does a lighter than usual AF mean anything?
i see the post above mine and i just want to add i am by no means no expert..so i hope you have a similar experience0
i am just going by when u r having this, when af was due as oppose to in mid cycle like her and also just from what i have read implantation bleeding is a very small amount that lasts once, although early pregnancy spotting is normal as well
good luck!

Re: Does a lighter than usual AF mean anything?
thank you both for your input! I still don't think it was implantation, although it would be nice to be surprised! I was actually more concerned/wondering if very light periods could be a sign of a fertility problem? Or is it normal for the flow to just last one day?
