Is it possible to refinance?
We currently locked into our mortgage when the rates were high, we are really intrested in a re-fi, however last year when DH was laid off we made two late payments  .
Do you think refinancing is still a possibility for us?

Are you underwater? Is your loan greater than 125% LTV? is your loan a Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac loan?
HARP II was just rolled out by Obamas administration a few weeks ago but the guidelines require that you have a perfect payment history so you may not qualify on those grounds alone...but why not call your lender and ask?

No, in the total four year period of our loan we made to payments late. Other than that we have been up to date.
