Buying home & need advice re childproofing
Our dining room is right next-door to our Florida room, but there is a "step" (the length of the room) going down.
I have a 1 year old and a 2 year old. Any ideas on how to child-proof this?

Re: Buying home & need advice re childproofing
Teach them how to go down/up the step. We have 2 steps from our hallway into the kitchen and dining/living and I had a similar question I posted on parenting a while back about it. I tried to gate it but it was a PITA and everyone said to teach her to do the stairs. It was actually really easy and she got the hang of it pretty quick.
Here's a pic of my hallway, you can see the stairs... that gate lasted maybe a few days before we just said forget it and taught her to be careful of the stairs. Taught her to sit on her butt to go down and crawl up, worked out great.

ditto to the above.. teach them..
keeping them away from it will only want them to go near there..
teach them to do up and down on their tummy and not their tush though.. going down on their tush can make them get them legs/feet stuck and they will tumble face first.
