If you own the Joy of Cooking cookbook
what are your favorite recipes/tips from there.
I just got the book and have been looking through but there is SO much in there that I find it overwhelming. I don't know where to start. Want to try some new things but not sure which ones.

This is my bible cookbook. Some recipes are muffins, pancakes, meatballs, meatloaf, vodka sauce, pizza dough. This is my go to book. Their red velvet cake is delish.

I use a lot of their quick bread recipes. For me I mostly use it for guides. I use it for timing of hard boiled eggs, meats etc. I haven't tried to many actual recipes.

Re: If you own the Joy of Cooking cookbook
I've only owned it since last Christmas, and LOVE it. Some of the recipes I've made are:
- Steak au Poivre - Steak Diane - Mongolian Beef - Penne a la Vodka - a Chocolate Cake recipe, forgot which one - Coconut Chicken Curry
I think there were more but I can't remember. I've also consulted this cookbook for techniques on how to prepare certain foods (rather than an actual recipe). It's just an AWESOME book to have.
