Back to Back iuis??

Tomorrow will be my fourth IUI...third with injectibles. All have resulted in bfn. I am currently a patient at RSONY. For those of you who have used them...do you know if they do back to back iuis?? Is it true that back to back iuis increase your chances?? Thanks:)

Re: Back to Back iuis??

Drs have different thoughts on B2B IUIs. Mine didnt feel it would up my chances. It was more about 1 good timed IUI.

Re: Back to Back iuis??

i go there as well, and for my next cycle i think i am going to ask if i can have my IUI done 36 hours after the trigger as opposed to 24 (what they do now)...I am pretty sure i am out for this cycle as my temp dropped this morning, and when I did a search I read that a lot of people do their IUI's 36 hours after trigger...

I asked the same thing and I was told trigger shots and iui's are done in the mornings so 36hrs apart wouldnt be an option...I would ask them and see if you can do your own trigger shot at home...I may do that next time so I can get the 36 hrs as well

yea i figured i would have to trigger myself at night, and go in two mornings later.. i've done this before and although i prefer the nurse to do it, i'll do what i have to do! i rarely see my doc so its not like i can even ask him the success rate 24 vs 36 hours... oh well

Re: Back to Back iuis??

I went to rsofny and never did back to back. I asked my dr why he doesn't do them and he said because it really doesn't increase your chances. I've had to successful iui one resulting in my dd and one with this pregnancy. I also had 4 other iui which were bfn.

congrats! i have a few questions for you- how many IUI's until you were successful with your pg and also did you use clomid w/ your IUI's? And were they always 24 hours apart from trigger? Thanks!

Re: Back to Back iuis??

Out of 6 IUI cycles that were all done with back to back IUIs, I got pregnant on 2 of them. There's no harm in doing two... it def can't hurt.
