and Dr. Brenner had bad news I technically had a positive beta, but it's only 7.82 I am continuing meds until Friday and will go back to repeat the test, but it's obviously not looking good Would this be considered a chemical? miscarriage? I am so upset I am meeting with Dr. Brenner on Friday to discuss some possible testing.
yes it sounds like a chemical (assuming beta doesnt continue to rise appropriately) which is considered an early miscarriage. the embryos never implant fully which is what causes the low rise and then drop of HCG.
It sounds like a chemical, but you really never know. I know how upsetting this is - a lot of us have been there. I am sorry you are going through this

Thank you. I believe I had a chemical last month too (I tested at home and got very faint positives that went away, but by the time I went for a beta, my beta was negative). Not sure what's going on. Dr. Brenner said he doesn't think it has anything to do with my uterus or the "environment" but perhaps something to do with the frozen/thawed embryos. My DD is a success story from a fresh cycle with the same batch of embryos.
The exact same thing happened to me on my FET but the beta was even lower- a 3.5. They made me continue meds and come back 2 days later and it was zero. Those 2 days were the worst!! I would just be cautiously optimistic, try not to get your hopes up too much but you never know!!

Sounds like what I'm going through right now. I am not optimistic at all and pretty much know how this will end. Just hoping it's not a drawn out process with beta numbers that increase and then decrease. Thanks for your feedback
