We just started TTC...and I am not going to lie, I'm petrified... Anyone else?

I was VERY scared when i first came off BCP. I really wanted to start trying; but it was scary. I would try to AVOID DTD when i thought i was fertile b/c i knew i was unprotected! Now that it's 3 months of BCP & TTC; it's really exciting! I have my moments when i feel wow our life is going to change...but i'm more excited and ready then any of the fears.

Thanks...I guess it just seems so real right now, and still getting used to the whole idea...I'm sure I'll settle in and excitement will overcome the fear.

I am petrified of not being able to conceive. I want to believe I am a healthy person who will be able to conceive no problem, but I can't help but worry. I just know this is something I have wanted my entire life and I don't know if I could deal with that never happening. I will admit the first month I freaked out because I did't know if we were really ready!

Also; it might sound crazy; but watching all the baby shows on tv (baby store; baby first day)actually helped me get even more excited and get over my fear.
I guess looking at the babies really made me want my own!

for the most part i am concerned that i wont be able to conceive and that scares me more than anything in the world!!!
but i have my moments...when DH and i are out or with friends i think hmm our life is going to change to much can we handle it? then i see DH with a baby and think awww we are ready! (we went to macys saturday and there was the cutest little 7 month old boy sitting on the counter with his dad...he looked at me, turned away and looked at DH and just started to smile and reach out for his hand...the cutest thing i have ever seen! and i thought ok i want one now)

I'm scared I won't be able to concieve.
I'm scared of if I do what it will do to my body (not just physically but immune wise)
I'm scared about raising a child in this world
I'm scared about not having enough money
I'm scared of not giving the child everything I want for them
I worry about putting them through college
the list goes on and on...sometimes you have to let go and let God.

The first time we  after I came off of BCPs I was actually pretty nervous! It was kind of scary knowing that we could be creating a life. Now that we've been trying for a few months with no luck yet, I'm started to get scared that we will have trouble conceiving. Good luck to you! Try to enjoy yourself, you're for a good cause now!

When we first started trying, I admit I was terrified by the idea of having a kid. Almost 2 years into fertility treatments and multiple losses... I'm terrified by the idea of NOT having one.

Thank you all...many of you confirmed my feelings - I know I'm not the only one...and others made me shift my focus a bit from fear to excitement... both emotions are sprinkled in there for now...but I know I'll get there...it's a big adjustment - lifestyle, way of thinking....etc. etc.

I am. We were putting it off for so long because we didn't want our life to change. But after thinking I had to have surgery and hearing about how the surgery can have negative effects on my fertility and going through everything I went through in the last month, I know that it has to happen now or I will regret it and that trumps the fear.

Terrified. Mostly i am scared about not having enough money_ i finish nursing school in may and only work part time so i dont know of any leave, disability, unemployment, etc i can get at least for a few weeks after it is born. So maybe were stupid but just kinda plunging ahead and believing it will work out...
And of course about our lives changing...forever.. I do like my personal time...reading..working out...dates with DH.. Ok i better stop thinking about it!
