so that was a fun time in the emergency room
have a question for you ladies..
so past couple weeks i have had terrible terrible leg cramps,thought it was charlie horse..then past 3 days it was just one leg and pain 24/7...today i woke up and it is swollen soso bad so i go to emergency clinic...she looks at me and says dvt..go to hospital..
so after bouncing around from hospital to hospital and finally one has a ultrasound tech working it is a dvt and or blood clot in my calf..
he saidit could be fertility meds or just the fact that last month i was not on lovenox for first time in over a year(we took the month off)
so treatment 120..yes i said 120 mg of lovenox daily..for 3-6 months..my poor body lol
then another ultraound to see if clot is broken up
so my 2 questions are
1.if i am on 120 mg of lovenox daily and we were to start ivf next month will it effct that..can we still do ivf..please tell me yes
and 2.he wants me to go see a hemotologist..anyone have one they love

I'm glad you're ok! Scary!
It's funny you mention this b/c I've been getting HORRIBLE leg cramps in one leg especially, and now I'm wondering if I should get it checked b/c I was on lovenox (40, then 80 and then up to 120mg daily for weeks)... I woke up screaming one night from the pain. I've been off the lovenox for a little over a month now, but it only started in the last 2-3 weeks... I wonder if it could be b/c my blood is thicker. I'm not sure how long it stays in your system.
Anyway, I'm glad everything is ok! Keep us posted!

well i live in queens and went to 2 diff hospitals that were the closest..
lij in forest hills..where i sat for 3 hours to finally be called in only for them to say..ohh we have no ultrasound tech here..u need to come back tomorrow
then we went to elmhurst and they said they don't have one at night either
so we finally got on highway and went to northshore where i was seen in 5 min and everyone was amazing
gotta love queens

Ohhh man not at elmhurst? Thats baaaaad!! Thats why I plan on delivering at lij or winthrop. But im Glad they finally figured it out.

OMG . I was in the hospital from Sat thru tues for 3 clots in my leg and was put on Lovenox. I take 80 2x per day.
I will be on it until at least 6 weeks after birth. I have to see a Hemotologist too but I am going to one way out here so that won't help you.
I would talk to your RE. But I don't think the Lovenox will hut the IVF.

I am so glad that they figured it out!
I just saw a hemotologist yesterday and I really, really liked him --- but he has offices in Southampton and Riverhead which is no where near you..... sorry!
Hope you find a dr soon and that you like him --- and SOOO sorry for everything you have been through.

Whoaaaaa Gina!!! I'm so glad you're alright!! I would have been freaking out!!! 
ETA: Out of curiosity, when you stopped taking lovenox for the month, were you still using baby aspirin?

That's soooo scary 
I'm actually had achiness in my legs on and off.. I had it consistently for a week last week.. then it went away.. and its been back again since last night. I'm on lovenox though. I think my achiness is due to stress. I tense my muscles when I'm stressed so they must be sore from that. (Of course I did ask my dh a few times if they look swollen, ever since I read your post!! )
I'm so glad you are home and resting!

They also said that bc of my weight 40 mg was prob too low of a dose anway and that the fertilty meds can make you prone to clots...prob just a mix of everything lol
