A few cleaning questions from a new homeowner
1. What do you use to keep hardwood and tile floors on a daily basis? I feel like I am vaccuming all the time. I have a swiffer, a mini vac and a regular dyson. I was looking into either the Haan or the Shark steam mop.
2. How do you put Oxy into the Electrolux HE frontloaders?
3. What's best to clean stainless steel appliances?
4. What should I use on my chrome bathroom fixtures?
TIA

I usually use this for my stainless steel appliances... and the chrome in the bathroom, I either use a bathroom cleaner, or windex... both work well. Image Attachment(s):

Re: A few cleaning questions from a new homeowner
A steam mop is a godsend for tiles. I have ceramic tiles that are sort of textured, and they attract dirt. I have the Bissel steam mop, and I think it works so much better than a conventional mop. Plus, it's lightweight and really easy to use (no messy mop and bucket).
My hardwood floors don't really require much maintenance. They are in my formal living room and dining room, and my son's bedroom only. So vacuuming once in awhile and sweeping/swiffering keeps them clean in my house (I don't have pets, and I really use the living and dining room for entertaining only.. so they are not high traffic areas). But you definitely don't want to get them wet, and I have heard that products such as Murphy's Oil Soap can ruin or damage the floors.
Bathroom fixtures I use a multi-purpose or antibacterial spray cleaner (such as Windex Multi-Purpose -- I LOVE the smell or Lysol).
I don't have stainless steel appliances or use Oxy, so no help there!

The container of Oxy says to put it in the drum of the washer machine before you put the clothes in.

For Floors Bona floor system. You don't even need to do them everyday, they make them amazing and shiney! Plus the Bona system is safe for your floors. Stainless Steel, as per Martha Stewart Windex! Windex on the chrome as well!
