Homeowners' Insurance
I'm about to close on my first home and need homeowners' ASAP. Please let me know who you use, in particular if you have a co-op apartment that would be useful to know. Thanks!!!

Go to esurance and get a few quotes and pick the lowest you see that has the options you need.
That's what I did after calling a few brick and mortar companies and finding out how expensive they are...
With esurance, you're matched with an agent who works with several companies so saves you time comparing....

I just had a customer who needed insurance for the co-op she was buying. I referred her Diana Acosta at Risk Strategies, who was able to help her (I think she got her a policy through Met Life). Diana is a former real estate customer of mine, so if you call, you can tell her I gave you her name!

We got a policy through our auto insurer. They actually don't write policies in NY but one of their subsidiaries do and they gave us a phenomenal rate. Our attorney couldn't believe the rate we got. And we ended up getting a discount on our car insurance because it's through the same company!

I used Traveller's when I had my co-op. It had cost me like $250 a year. HTH!
