First month off BC

So this is my first cycle off BC and I would have gotten AF on Friday. I have found myself nauseous 3 times this week. I got really excited and had the most vivid dream last night (that I was preggo) I tested this morning and BFN.

Was this anyone else's experience?

I read this and realized how silly it reads. Did anyone else have nausea, it what I meant.

yes i did.... alot of strange things can happen when you stop BCP... I broke out bad, gained weight, got nauseous a few days, spotted.... don't read into it too much, you will make yourself crazy!!!

Same thing with me! I had nausea and extremely sore boobs. I thought I could have possibly been pregnant but AF came. Symptoms coming off the pill for ne were pretty intense

I have been pregnant a few times already. Last cycle, I convinced myself it worked. I was nauseous, one of my cats slept right next to my stomach (something he historically only does when I'm pregnant), among other random signs........ Well, I was not pregnant.


I think you feel what you want to feel. If you want to feel pregnancy signs, you can no matter WHERE you are in your cycle. The mind is a powerful thing. I know it's hard (believe me, I still have a hard time doing this and I'm just about 2 years in with fertility treatments.. ) but you just have to try your hardest to go on with your life and when you test, you'll know. It's no use driving yourself crazy over signs that could mean anything.

My first month off of BC my AF came a few days later than it normally did when I was on BC and I had completely convinced myself I was pregnant. I also felt some symptoms, which must have been PMS. Now, a few months later, I guess my "natural" cycles off of BC are more like 33 days, while on BC they were 28 days. While it's possible you may be pregnant, it also may be your body getting used to being off of BC. Good luck!
