what to do in vegas?
what is there to do in vegas with a 65 year old and a 40 year old who have never been to vegas and are not "party-ers"? I'm looking into a show but where can we go for a night out that is not going to shock them and send them running??

You can walk to the different hotels to see the fountain / light show at Bellagio, the pirate show at Treasure Island, the volcano at The Mirage, & the gondola ride at the Venetian. Also, grab some food / dessert at Sugar!

I agree with the Bellagio fountain show, that's a must! Not sure if they'll dig the pirate show...or as I call it "whores on a boat". It used to be so much better. The gondola ride at the Venetian is a great idea too. You can go to the top of the Eiffel tower too, great view! You could also take a 10 minute cab ride to downtown Vegas, Freemont St. That's definitely fun to see.

Re: what to do in vegas?
There is a light show on Freemont Street (the older vegas strip)
I also say the bellagio fountains
go to nice dinners
do they like to gamble? do they like to drink? If so, Check out the different casinos at all of the hotels, and the lobbies. I like mandalay bay best and they come around with drinks much more often than any other! They also have a tram to go to a few other hotels and the tram is really fun!
in terms of shows- i think they have the lion king now and lots of cirque de soleil shows... i think those would be great! if they like celebrities/music over production/theatre/dancing type shows donnie and marie do a show in vegas now and there is also a beatles tribute.

If they want to see more of what nevada has to offer, I would take a trip to red rock canyon... its not far at all and is a fun experience... especially if you tour in one of these Its through scootcitytours.com . We had such an amazing time doing this!

Re: what to do in vegas?
I saw LOVE (the Beatles Cirque Show) and it was phenomenal! They might enjoy that.
I found that even just walking around the strip and checking out all the different hotels was awesome.
The Bellagio water show is beautiful day or night, the Volcano at the Mirage smells like Pina Colada, there's a cool aquarium at Mandalay Bay, animal exhibits at MGM and Mirage. NY NY has dueling pianos too- that's always fun!

Re: what to do in vegas?
There is alot to do in vegas...you can spend at least a day or so just walking the strip and checking out the inside of each hotel as they each have something different and cool to offer. And while your sightseeing you can also check out restaurants in the hotels to see where you would like to eat on your trip. There are a ton of shows to see...from the cirque du soleil shows (just stay away from zumanity if thats still out..that may shock them lol) to singers and comedy acts.

Re: what to do in vegas?
At night I would just check out the sites. The hotels themselves are just fun to walk around. You can go to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Take a gondola ride in the Venetian, eat gelato and watch "street performers. Plus the shopping there is AMAZING. The fountains at the Bellagio are a must at night.
As for a show I HIGHLY recommend Ka. It was FABULOUS.
For an amazing meal check out Picasso at the Bellagio. We also really liked NobHill at the MGM.
