what to pair with pumpkin beer?
So my boyfriend and I are doing a pumpkin beer tasting tonight, just the 2 of us (we have about 8 different types to split)
We wanted to pair some food with the beer..any ideas? Nothing too heavy..
Also, any suggestions for movies?

How about a smoked turkey (or roasted turkey) sandwich with some cranberry mayo and whatever else you put on it. Or maybe pork tenderloin with sweet potatoes?
If you want some snacky things I would do an aged cheddar and some salty nuts (LOL).
What beers do you have? We're going to try either Blue Point or Blue Moon tonight, whichever DH can find first. I *think* I'm going to make the turkey sandwich with some natural cut fries.

I know you said nothing to heavy but I think of some thing hearty like roasted pork or stew

I love food and I love beer, but I am not so good at pairing them!
But, we just had this Chipotle Sweet Potato Soup with our pumkin ales, and I thought it went pretty well together. I also crumbled up some applewood smoked bacon to go along with the pecans and sour cream as the garnish.
You have quite a list of beers there, but if I might recommend River Horse Hipp-O-Lantern and Heavy Seas Great Pumpkin for another time, they're awesome!

& side note - SO JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! My FAVORITE beer season is now and I'm pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!

We had the Sammy last weekend. It was pretty good. We bought the Harvest Sampler and it was all great except the Bonfire, but I'm not a fan of Rauchbier anyway.

we had a ton of fun last night!
we ended up having a pork stew with carrots and celery, and then munched on pretzels while tasting
we only made it through 7 of them, and were pouring 4 oz...we felt like such wimps lol 
we're going to make an annual tradition of it though-it was a ton of fun!!
