What percentile do you measure?

So at my last sonogram, at about 28w, the tech happened to mention in passing that the baby was measuring in the 43% percentile.

My doctor has never discussed this with me, or the significance of it.

Does your doc generally discuss LO's percentile /measurements???

I just had a growth u/s on Thursday. Bay is also 45-47% with a small head. They started to get concerned about it until I reminde him my dd's head circ was less then 10% at birth and she was normal. He said oh nevermind you just make babies with small heads I have a small womb and issue with keeping food down so the fact that baby is 45% and growing on target is fine with all of us. The concern would have been in his abd circ was low and that leads them to think IUGR. Try not to stress on the numbers. I was told it just means you're more likely to have a "noraml" sized baby ie: 6-7lbs instead of a larger baby. This was good news for me since dh was 9lb10oz and my body couldn't handle that DD was 5lb2oz at birth and while small just fine and is thriving.

When I had my Level 2 they told me I was in the 56%. I just smiled and said ok since I had/have no clue what it meant

Our baby was in the 52% at 32 weeks and 63% at 36
