Hello.... I'm New
Hi Everyone,
I thougt I would take a minute to introduce myself. I am a former LIW bride (09) and I am new to LIF. I've been stalking the board for about a week trying to learn all of the new lingo - wow there is a whole language out there to get familiar with!
I am going to start by asking a simple question that is driving me crazy.......
Do you really have to wait 1 year for someone to help you if you are TTC?
It's been 7 months for us now (crossing my fingers that AF won't come this weekend - but I know how that episode is going to go) and I'm just wondering if there anything someone can do now? Could I have done something earlier? Thanks for the advice and .....hello!

I dont think you have to wait 1 year. Im going to an RE next week. I have PCOS and already know I have issues with ovulation so we are not waiting. Im 36 years old and not going to wait a year trying on our own.

I'm not currently seeing anyone for TTC but I am fairly certain that you can see someone now - no need to wait until a year.

I'm 36 and I didn't wait 6 months to get checked out. I was lucky that I didn't have to push to get checked. My doc knew I was TTC and was worried about my age.
Glad I did. Found out I have fibroids and a polyp that was not in a good spot.

there is no written rule saying u have to wait a year..sometimes RE's will only see you after a year unless you have fertility issues
all depends on how regular your cycles are? do youovulate on your own? do you hve PCOS?
i know 7 months is a eternity..trust me i am almost hitting 2 years..but sometimes it can take that long
have u been tracking your cycles?
bottom line if you have doubts trust your gut..call your doc and go in for some testing if it will give you peace of mind

It was in my gut before we started TTC seven months ago that I would have trouble and sure enough I was right. Seeing the doc in November for my regular pap so I figured I would just start asking then, but it's another whole month away and it feels like such a waste of time.
