need help. placenta issues!!
Hi scared to death. Was released at 11 weeks from braverman and saw reg ob today and doc said to see kofinas who is a perinatologist to double check bc I am ivf and over 35. All seemed well then dr kofinas found my placenta is damaged in multiple places bc he feels I have a form of blood clotting issues. I have mthfr but take metanx and baby aspirin so we ran more blood to check other clotting possibilities. Have to start on 60 lovenox tomorrow. Why?????? I feel so upset worried ****** off. My baby was bouncing around and I will just die if something happens. Thoughts experiences? Tyyy

I wish I had some advice. I do have a blood clotting disorder that we knew about prior to starting my IVF cycle so I have been on lovenox from the start.
I am praying for you and your little one that everything turns out OK.

no advice but i have the same clotting issues and also took 40mg Lovenox throughout my pregnancy and everything turned out FINE! i know MANY women on this board who had similar experiences with 100% normal outcomes

I don't have any experience, but I'm sure they caught it early enough and now you can prevent any further damage.
Plenty of  that LO will be just fine!

is it a hematoma - is that what you have?
that is when the placenta pulls away and blood fills in.
i have one of these- a rather large one.
i bled from it one day and freaked out. that is when they discovered it.
i was told to take it very very easy.
most of the time they reabsorb into your body.

do not panic, thank god that kofinas caught it early. i am not sure which mtfhr you have, but most of them require lovenox. regular dose of lovenox 40 mg, but he is starting you on 60mg, which is GOOD, b/c it will help with clots. usually braverman sees clots on u/s, did he mention anything to you?
do not stress out, start lovenox asap, as kofinas says.

Hi! No hematoma or big clots. He just kept pointing and saying damage damage there. Like the placenta was not growing right in places or being destroyed from the clotting issue? I don't remember hematoma mentioned so maybe that's good? He just said I need the lovenox to stop more damage and help the placenta grow strong. Sooo confusing. He is starting me on 60 bc I am 11 weeks and overweight so I will need more. Thanks for the support!
