Mobiles?

Are you getting a mobile for the crib? Are you getting the one that matches your bedding, or something different?

Can you please show me what you registered for or what you use? TIA!!!

We did a butterfly theme so we bought a butterfly mobile to match. Sorry don't have a picture.

I saw this one at Buy Buy Baby and fell in love with it. It wasn't purchased off the registry but I found it for almost half price on Amazon thanks to another poster on here suggesting them. I fell in love with the silly flamingo and it was one of those things that I HAD to have.

It has lights, a remote, different sounds, removeable top for when they pull themselves up and it is a danger. It plays for 20 minutes. The remote was the big thing though. I have that on the door knob outside the door.

We got the Fisher Price Precious Planet projection mobile for our son and will definitely be using it again for this baby. It has 3 options of sound- nature, heartbeat, and classical music. It has a dome that the animals hang from and it projects moving images of baby animals onto the dome. When they are old enough to reach it, you can remove the whole dome and it projects onto the ceiling. We LOVED this and so did our son. The projection was so visually stimulating and soothing for him. It also has a remote, which I loved.

It didn't go with our theme, but the one that was part of our bedding set was really lame in comparison . We have a jungle babies theme in there, so it sort of fit in with the whole animal thing.

For DD we got the one that matched the bedding set but, IMO, those are just for show. You have to wind them up and they only play for like 2 minutes- if even. We also got one from Fisher Price one that played classical music and had a remote. That mobile plays for about 15 minutes before turning off. Worked great for her.

We got a mobile for DS that matched his set. We also didnt put it on the crib. We attached it to the wall behind the center of the crib. We were able to keep it up until DS was 20 months old!

We had a fisher price mobile for my DD that had a remote and it projected stars on the "umbrella" part of the mobile, and also had some little animals hanging from it.

It was great because it played music for a while and had a remote. Even when she was standing up and was too big for the mobile part, we were able to take the top part off and still use the music box. She could hit the large buttons herself (which she would do a few times as she fell esleep) or we could tiptoe to her door and hit the remote to restart it if need be. It was great.

We will either use the same one or look for something similar for htis baby!

We did the Tiny Love as well. We didn't do a crib set.
