chicken francese without the wine?

I wanted to make skinnytastes chicken francese tonight, but I do not have white wine. I really dont want to run out cause my son is sick.

Do you think I can make it without it?

I substitute with chicken stock and then use just a bit extra lemon when finishing.

Re: chicken francese without the wine?

If you don't have chicken stock I suppose you probably don't have some spare chicken parts, an onion, a carrot and some celery to make your own, huh? Chat Icon

I don't recommend this BUT in a pinch.. you can soak some chicken base in hot water and use that. If you don't have chicken base then boullion will do.. but it doesn't add the same depth of flavor that the stock or the wine will. It's kind of just like salty water at that point.

Maybe you can make fried chicken cutlets instead?
