For those of you with PCOS
Were you able to still get a smiley face on OPK? It says on the box that those with PCOS may not get results?
Also, my cycle has never been regular. Right now its been like every 60 days so I wouldnt even know when to test.

If you have pcos, it may not even be accurate. If you have high LH, it could show that you are ovulating even though you're really not.
If I were you, I'd see an RE. No reason to go through the guesswork and waste time..... IMO..

I haven't yet. But I also have anovulatory cycles so that plays a huge part in the lack of a smiley.

I was seeing Dr. B but since Im in NJ his appts werent convenient for me when he was in NYC.
I just made an appt 10/24 close to me. So I guess for now we will just  a whole lot this month and wait to see what the deal is at the end of this month.
IF my calculations have been correct I should be getting my period in 19 days. Maybe TMI but Ive been having a lot of EWCM the past 2 days and today... I wonder if that means Im ovulating right now
ETA: I wasnt actively trying when I saw Dr. B just wanted to get the ball rolling with tests and stuff. He put me on Metformin and said its been known to kickstart ovulation in some women. After 6 months of taking it I started getting somewhat normal periods. Every 60 days. Im hoping it comes in 19 days and that would be 4 months in a row that it came that way

That's why I was confused when all my blood work came back normal. Because, although the smiley would come at different times, I did get it for the 2 cycles that I used the OPK's. Now who the h-e-l-l knows whats going on.

I have pcos with normal bloodwork. I have a few tiny cysts. I get my period, but its not regular. I did get a smiley face last week on Day 23. Chances are you will get one very late in your "cycle".

don't waste ur money....i have pcos and got AF every 3 months-ish (therefore only ovulating every 3 months or so)
i don't know if ur insurance covers this but Ive been going to RSNY. They have been monitoring me. They put me on prover, then immediately on clomid. Friday I go back to find out if I'm ovulating or not
My current insurance doesn't cover it and i had to pay $1400 out of pocket but my new insurance does so I will get the money back (thankfully)

ITA. I have pcos and never had regular cycles I didn't even waste time when we decided to ttc. My first month I started out with the RE and it took 7 months to get pg with dd even after I had help. I would call an RE and let them monitor your cycle and run tests JMO.

ita..i have PCOS and if i did get a smiley which was not often at all when i had blood work it showed i did not ovulate

I have PCOS and never got a smiley.. then again I don't ovulate/have periods on my own either

i have PCOS with high LH and I get tooooo many smileys. ovulation only occurs like 10% of the time that i get smileys. sometimes i would get like 5 days in a row of smileys with ovulation not even occurring after that.
i agree, if you have PCOS hormones are wacky and its very hard to tell when you are ovulating. i would def see an RE, ob's generally dont give PCOSers enough specialized time.
