Bad day
So I went for bloodwork this morning (my 4th beta, and the equivalent of 25 dpo) just to check that my estrogen went up - had my estrogen been fine, I wouldn't have even gone for another beta.
So the nurse calls me a few hours later and says "Ok, so your numbers look great and the doctor wants to see you for a sono this week" I'm all excited and I ask her "What were my numbers, just out of curiousity"
She tells me my progesterone and estrogen (which were fine) and then says my beta was 2700. On Friday, it was 1990. I asked her if that was too low because it didn't double and she told me that it was fine and "in the range".
I know betas slow down once they reach like 1200 (from what I've googled), but this seems too slow, no?
I can't stop crying. . .I have a sono tomorrow at 130, but I'm already expecting it to be bad.

 I hope that everything turns out okay. I've unfortunately been in the hell of slow rising betas, but never made it that far, so I don't know how it slows down at that point. I will be thinking of you.

I would have some faith in the fact that the nurse said your numbers are great. They stopped checking my beta before it got that high, so I have no comparison. I know it does stop doubling, so try to relax until you go for the sono tomorrow. It's good you don't have to wait too long.

Thanks girls. I think it doesn't help that DH is out of town so I'm kind of flying solo on this one.
I'm not even sure what I should expect to see at 5 weeks 5 days.
I know the nurse said it was good, but I don't believe her. As childish as that sounds.

I am having twins and at 5 weeks, 2 days I saw two sacs and two yolk sacs. You should definitely see the sac, yolk sac and probably the fetal pole at that time.

Great news on the estrogen!!!
As for the beta that is actually a nice jump!! Once you hit about 2k is doest double anymore!! Going from 1990 to 2700 is great!! Dont worry!!
You should see a sac and a yolk & pole by 5.5 weeks pregnant .... Once you hit 6 weeks+ you should see a heartbeat!! I am sure the sono will put you at ease!!

Don't beat yourself up! Have faith in what the nurse told you... Like PPs have said, there comes a point where your betas won't double, and that is a huge jump!!
At my first sono at 5w5d, we were able to see the heartbeat!
Lots of and  !! Everything will be okay!

once I hit 2000, they stopped telling me numbers and just said they were in the correct range. Dont jump to any conclusions. Looking forward to your update.
