Is anyone a NYC teacher and know what is covered as far as infertility???

Today I had to pay $1400 just for bloodwork and a sono and clomid.

I havnt got my new insurance info yet but it gets retrod back to sept and am pretty sure I will be covered under GHI.

DH will kill me if I don't get the money back

Re: insurance....

DH works for NYC (not as a teacher though) and we have GHI. They cover all the bloodwork and sonos. We just have to pay a $30 copay. Clomid is not covered but I get it for $10 at Walgreens through their prescription plan.

Re: insurance....

If your dr is a participating provider with GHI then you should get reimbursed once they have you updated in the system. If the effective date of your plan is Sept 1st then it should already be updated I would call to make sure!
