Oil prices
It's that time of year again...who else has been looking to book an oil contract for the winter? We've been calling around and it seems the prices are hovering around $3.79 a gallon. Has anyone found it for cheaper?

We signed a contract last wknd at a cap of $3.81 and a $100 credit towards are first fill-up for getting the maintenance contract. Signed with Meenan... Got them within .02 of the Lewis cap/deal.

We just signed with a ceiling of 3.79 and a free service agreement.
I was getting ceiling prices up over 4.00/gallon.

I just rec'd an email from Slomins offering fixed price of $3.399 per gallon for the next 12 months and the option to add a servie plan for an additional $119/month..
Last year, I did COD so I never had a contract before....
Judging by the quotes listed above, it seems like this is real low, and too good to be true...????
Anyone else get this email or use them?

A slomins rep came to my house and offered the same so I think its legit. I was with General last year and was at $2.84 ceiling plan my contract was up in April but they delivered oil 3 days ago anyway at $4.19/gallon, they have another thing coming if they think I am paying that price when I didn't even call for a delivery nor sign another contract with them.

Slomins is offering a fixed price at that but most of the companies I spoke to beleive that oil might come down a bit and that 3.39 fixed is not the best price.
I got current delievery prices from a few and it was anywhere from 3.39 and up. so a fixed price at 3.39 is no bargain.
