Delivery anxiety...
As it gets closer to your EDD does anyone else have anxiety about labor and delivery and everything that goes with it?? I am 33 weeks and I am starting to get nervous about it all. Where will I be when I go into labor, when will it happen, will I be able to deal with the pain, how long will it take, will I go natural  You name it I am thinking it Just wanted to see if anyone else feels like this.

Definitely normal. Once I got to the point you are, is when the anxiety started. I think we all worry when it gets closer. Just try to educate yourself on and do all you can to prepare. Women have been doing this forever, and they go on to do it more than once, so you will be fine!!!
You are definitely not alone!

Have you been to any classes yet? I went on Saturday and it helped to ease my mind a bit. It wasn't anything that I didn't expect, but it was good to see how "normal" the delivery room looks. Even the birthing videos kind of helped me come to terms with what's going to happen. Billions of other women have done it so we can too.

I too have been having anxiety about L&D. I have no advice other than I keep telling myself the baby will come out and I will live to tell the birth story, I just hope I can get through the pain and also don't want to go into labor at work

Totally normal.
I think the best way to handle it is to know that no matter how you prepare, anything can happen. That being said, no matter what happens, you CAN and will handle it. Our bodies are made for this. Chances are, you won't have your baby in the back seat of the car. Try not to worry. It will be the best day of your life, no matter what!

yes, mine started a few weeks ago but honestly as the weeks are passing i am getting more to the "i just want this baby out already" feelings.
reading and educating yourself definitely helps as well

Totally normal to feel this way! I have been starting to get anxiety as well!
I try to keep telling myself to trust my body and to trust my instincts!

Thank you, I agree, I definitely have to keep telling myself that I CAN do this....I am just so nervous that my mind always goes to the thought what if I cant Sometimes it helps just to hear that I will be able to handle it.

I think its totally normal to experience some anxiety over it because its such a huge unknown and you can hear such horror stories about it.
however, i found that the more i read about it, and took a childbirth prep class, the more at ease it put me about the whole thing.
At this point, i'm so laid back about it.. i just want it to happen so i can get on with it. I know that i have no control over it, it will happen how and when it wants to and im prepared for whatever may come (at least thats what i tell myself!  ).
I really do suggest taking a tour of the l&d suite at your hospital if you haven't already, and taking a class on childbirth. It really helped me mentally prepare for what can happen.
I try and tell myself that there is really no point getting anxious over it - its going to be what it is, and women have been doing this for centuries in much worse conditions than we're in and have all been fine. Think of how far advanced we are in our medical knowledge and all of the people at the hospital who will be there to help you. You'll be fine!!

I was very anxious before delivering DS but also ignorant regarding what was going to really occur. I chose to take the "it is what it is attitude" going into labor. Now being a BTDT I have even more anxiety because I know how bad it really is

I am past the nervous stage too, though it will happen again I'm sure. At 37 weeks they can take him out through my mouth I don't care, I just want him here
