My review of AW Cabinets
Before I purchased my cabinets I decided on a budget of $8000 (paid $9). I went to numerous places, some wanted nothing to do with me, never called back or were over my budget.
The cabinets came beautifully wrapped with no problems. My contractor on the other hand does not like them. He said they were cheap and everything is install on job site (soft close drawers, etc.) I guess you get what you pay for but they were what I could afford. The creme glaze looks great but the way they put them together is cheaper than Thomasville ( think I would have paid around $3000 to $4000 over buget).
The price of my total kitchen job is a little over $15000. If anyone wants I can email you the proposal.

Re: My review of AW Cabinets
I have AW as well and the soft close came fully installed already... I also bought them from Home Depot. I wonder why there is that difference?
I don't think they are cheaply made either. They seem solid and I am happy with the thickness (3/4" all plywood with maple doors). I have the raised panel Savannah and my friend came over (he is a General Contractor) and actually mistook them for quality custom cabinets.
Maybe it varies depending on the style?

Re: My review of AW Cabinets
I meant you have to install the soft close on the cabinets, drawers have them. I can tell the difference between the other brands at home depot because the designer showed me (ex: glue every where, plastic parts in the cabinets).
My contractor screwed the sink base to the wall and the wood split breaking the cabinet apart but I guess this could happen to any cabinet.
Also, not HD faults, Lex Construction measured wrong and my contractor had to extend my wall by 1/4 inch or I would have had to return the cabinet for a smaller size.
The color looks great thought and I did get all plywood.

I have the soft close on the cabinets too.. I'm gonna have to ask Rob if he did it!
You should see me checking the cabinets for glue now!!

Re: My review of AW Cabinets
I was thinking of preserving the wallpaper!
I am just so paranoid about everything being perfect. This has to do with that I am more educated on cabinets, etc. so I know what to look for. In my last house I had no clue and everything was cheap.
