What the fluck is wrong with people?
DH and I live in an apartment at my parents house (just background so you know why I care).
For the last few years we've had the elementary school bus stop on our corner (the house in on a corner). The parents at the stop let their kids do whatever they feel like. They run all over my parents lawn, yell and scream, and stand on brick pileons at the front of the property. In the past my Mom had gone out and asked the parents to please keep their kids off the lawn. I am fairly sure she has also called the bus company on occasion.
Anyway, Monday morning, one of the parents rings by parents doorbell at about 8 am and proceeds to scream at my Mom that it is her fault the bus stop was changed (we had no idea they changed it this year and my mom didn't even recognize the lady). My Mom actually had to call the police to come out and the woman continued to stand across the street and yell obscenties (nice example for your kid lady) at my Mom calling her/our family drug addicts and drug dealers. Not sure where that came from, but maybe she should take a look at herself.
My Mom called the bus company and asked if she was the reason they changed the bus stop and they told her no, the route just changed this year.
I guess there is no point to this besides venting, I just don't get people's sense of entitlement. Really lady, you can't walk the extra block to bring your kid to the bus stop?!?

Bus stops on our block change every year based on how many kids are going on which bus to which school. We have kindergartners that go to one school, then elementary, middle and high school. So based on the best location for the kids on each bus, the stops change every year.
I see our corner group running and playing on one of the kids lawns a few doors from the stop and when the bus comes, they go there. It's a matter of common courtesy on the part of the parents.
Tell your mom to hand out the phone number to the bus company if they need an explanation of route change.
The ignorance and disrespect is frustrating, I'm sure. Hopefully it will blow over.

I was thinking about going over there and telling her it was her fault the sun was out.

Yes, on the otherside of our block there is a cul de sac. She lives somewhere in there. So she was already walking her kids to the bus stop. I don't know why walking a bit further is such a big deal.

For the life of me I cannot understand why so many modern day parents think their kids are entitled to be rude and destructive in public places or in other people's homes. I could think of so many stories that are like 
It makes me that much more appreciative of the parents who teach their kids respect and sensitivity for others.
