I have to take a trigger shot pretty late into my cycle (CD 18), since I never ovulated on my own... i have 3 "over mature" eggs and 2 "good" ones but I was just wondering could these "over mature" eggs potentially fertilize?

Re: is it possible for "over mature" eggs to fertilize?

i dont know what size i believe I saw them write down some in the high 20's... i was told a few days ago not to BD because i had too many follicles & high estrogen, but my doc said I had to trigger anyway since i'm not ovulating on my own at this point, and if i don't release them they will turn into cysts... he said i could BD though (i'm guessing he knows i don't have a good chance of getting pregnant now) so I was just wondering if these follicles were in fact "over mature" if it was even possible to fertilize. Thanks as usual for answering my questions, i'm just really stressed about this whole process and can't wait for this cycle to be over to start new..

ETA: the nurse told me that those follies were starting to look "over mature"
