Clomid users??
I'm out this month and i'm now moving on to clomid cycle #2.
I really feel like it didnt lengthen my cycle this month. I had some brown CM 8/9 DPO, and then got my period on 11 DPO (whcih I guess means my LP was really 10 days), which was what my cycle was doing pre-clomid.
I took 50 miligrams this month - does anyone know if they automatically up the dosage in the 2nd cycle?

Re: Clomid users??
Did the doctor only prescribe the clomid to lengthen your cycles?
In my experience I took 50mg of clomid while seeing a OB/GYN. They never checked up on me to see if it was working.
I started seeing a RE and started with 50mg of clomid. They monitored me and realized that 50mg didn't do anything. They upped it to 100mg, same it did nothing to help, then upped it to 150mg.
Sorry for the ramble, point is you should be monitored on Clomid cause that is the only way you'll know if its working for you and what the proper dosage should be.

Re: Clomid users??
Clomid is meant to help assist ovulation. Were you always regular?
Like pp OBGYN sometimes do not monitor you as closely as an RE. Unless you get monthly ultrasounds, especially right around ovulation time, it will be hard to determine if it is working for you. For isntance in my case I did 3 cycles of clomid without monitoring by my OBGYN, we moved on an RE did one clomid with him and realized that it did not help my situation much.

The 5 rounds I did with my ob were a waste of time cause I was not monitored at all..we left and went to a RE

Re: Clomid users??
My OB put me on it because although i ovulated on my own (I've gotten pregnant before w/o any help but MC; and my temps go up every month), my Luteal Phase was short and I started spotting at 8 DPO. She said that clomid would help lengthen my LP.
I was having the same exact issues when TTC for DC#1; she prescribed clomid and was pregnant after the first cycle.
We'll keep trying this for a few more cycles and then move on to an RE if necessary. I guess i'm going on the fact that it worked before, it'll work again. I know that it's not always the case, but i dont think it can hurt to try this first...i hope anyway!!
thanks everyone!

I am going to start round 2 of clomid and my doc did not up my dosage since I did O with 50 mg and my cycle came back regularly.

Re: Clomid users??
I was started on clomid 50mg daily by the RE and i only had one dominant follicle so the second cycle he increased it to 100mg daily and again i only had one dominant follicle so RE thinks I'm not really responding to the clomid....but he could only make these decisions after having done sonos on day 12 of my cycle....hope that helps!

Re: Clomid users??
I've been taking clomid to shorten my cycle (because I don't O on my own). I have been getting AF at 11-12DPO.
