Since most hollywood marriages don't last...
Would you rather be rich, famous and be one of the couples that gets divorced or keep your happy marriage/life now? I would rather be me than a rich famous person that gets diverced. Can $ really make you that happy? I wonder.

I think that being famous is kind of a sword with two blades, it cuts well but it can also hurt you.
I would rather have my life now, than be famous and lonely.

Yes I have to agree. My cousin is famous. He has more money then he knows what to do with. He is so lonely and his life is such a mess that I do not envy him for a second. In fact sometimes I feel bad for him.

IMO money can certainly make me happy. But it isn't the only thing that can make you happy or keep you happy.
I would LOVE to have mucho dinero AND my current life. But if it came dow to chosing between the two...I cannot be happy with money and multiple divorces, i would pick my current life! BUT i also do not think that money is the reason for the divorces. I think it happens all the time. Money maybe makes it easier for them to deal with it!

I think the problem behind Hollywood marriages lies not with the money, but with the fame...I would never want to be recognized on the street famous...More money, yes....That said, in 20 years, who knows how many of us will be divorced...So I would like more money, but with a happy marriage.

I definitely would never want to be famous. Famous people can never just go somewhere and be normal without a huge production of it. It's then very easy to lose all sense of reality.
I mean, if I have a craving for a cappucino I can leave my house right now and run to the store... hair up in a scrungy, shorts and t-shirt. If I was famous I would either risk being mobbed by people/paparazzi who then would be speculating on the cover of a tabloid if I was preggos because I ordered a decaf or then zoom in on the one spot on my legs that I didn't quite get with the razor this morning.
OF course a bit more money would be nice. I could buy that house we saw this weekend. Love the layout and area but it easily needs $150,000 worht of work too it.
Oh, and I told DH, no divorce ever... murder yes, divorce no

i want both
i want to be famous (doing what though.. i have no clue), but i wouldnt trade DH for it though. I think people use it as an excuse- if you have strong values re: marriage and not getting divorced, then you wouldnt let anything jeopardize that- no matter how much money you had.
