Anyone else feel like...
fertility treatments have made you less fertile?
When I started TTC, I ovulated on my own, and now I need to be triggered. In the beginning I was making 3-4 follicles on clomid. But last cycle needed to be converted from an IVF to an IUI because I only made 2 mature follies (on injectables!) versus my first (failed) IVF when I made 9 follies, and I was on half as much medication.
I just can't help but see a pattern that the longer this goes on and the more we ratchet up the treatments the crazier, sicker and more resistant my body seems to get.
Am I alone?

I've just found that my lining has been progressively harder to work with ... but I have a feeling that's because of my latest D&C

Re: Anyone else feel like...
I kinda agree with you. Who knows how all these drugs really affect us!
I just had a consult with my RE for my next IVF cycle and I asked to try doing less meds. I didn't respond any better on the max doses than I did on a lesser amount, so why do that to myself? It's a financial and an emotional strain as well. Hoping less stims produces better quality... He said there are conflicting studies on whether or not these hormones affect the quality of our eggs. We agreed to try it this way.

Re: Anyone else feel like...
I sort of feel that way. With dd I used clomid even on 50 mg I had follies. Now I am not producing any follies on clomid and my lining is much thinner. I don't get it. I am thinking maybe its because I had a miscarriage more than it is the fertility treatments but who knows. Its very frustrating.

You're not alone.... I couldn't agree with you more.
Although I haven't gone on ANY meds yet, I've been probed like a human subject of an alien invader
I used to ovulate every month and I used to get AF like clockwork every 26 days- never on BCP.
Now, AF is every 29 or 27 or 30? And no smiley face yet on OPK- and today is day 15.
wth?
