D&C

I am having no luck getting this endometiral biopsy done. It is so painful for me that my dr had to stop the test. I was hoping that she got enough tissue but she did not. I have to now be put out to have a d&c so she can get the tissue. This is craziness!!! My Consult is Tuesday evening! I hate this! I hate that my life is on hold because of this! I just want to get back to TTC!!!

sorry u have to go through this. It is very frustrating to have to wait to ttc.
I had a d&c and its a very easy procedure, so don't stress over it. GL

like the pp said -- the d&c is a easy procedure and I came out of it in no pain.

Thank You! I was supposed to have the consult this morning but with DH works schedules he wants to be there with me to listen to what the dr has to say. He didn't want me to go alone.

Has anyone had this done where they have been put our before? I hate hospitals!!!!!!

when I had my miscarriage I had to have a d&C and they knocked me out.... prior to the procedure they gave me an iv with some medicine to help me relax. Then my DH walked along side me as they rolled me in to the or .... they then gave me propohol (spelling? the drug that Michael Jackson took) and a mask over my face.... I remember the Dr saying Don't worry

and then I woke up in the recovery room. i woke up alert and not groggy at all... and in no pain (although they did offer pain meds if I were in pain). After 20 mins there they rolled me back to the first room and gave me ginger ale. They said that as soon as I went pee I could go home..... I sucked that soda down so fast

So sorry u have to go through this. A d&c isn't really painful at all. I jus had one about 3 weeks ago because of a m/c. I was put out and they did the procedure in my docs office. I was very scared but I woke up feeling fine and it seemed like it never happened. The procedure only takes a few minutes. You will be ok and back to ttc in no time! Best of luck!

I would have been fine (physically) to go to work the next day --- but I was still in such a state of shock -- we found out that I lost the baby and she had the D&C scheduled for 4 HOURS after we found out....

You may not be able to drive for 24 hours but depends on what meds they give you -- ask the dr.

The procedure itself was fast -- I think my DH said I was gone for no more than 35- 40 mins and 20 of them were inthe recovery room..

and it was in the hospital
