I could of been electricuted!!!
My mom and her friend are at my house prepping to prime our living room and my mom's friend was taking off the outlet cover so they can paint around the outlet and all of a sudden sparks flew everywhere. The outlet is now black. What happened is that the wonderful security system company has a box with the wires attached to the outlet plugged in so the wall panels work and they installed it incorrectly. They have the metal screws screwed in through other metal pieces which they aren't suppose to do. We call the company and they said that since we don't have the warranty that we have to pay a $65 emergency visit fee. I DON'T THINK SO!!!  You're the one's who installed it incorrectly and unsafely. My mom is just happy that it didn't happen to me. She was really upset after I told her that, that's the outlet I always use when vaccuming.  I don't know what would of happened to me and the baby if I had been electricuted. Oh, and the security company tells me that they'll try to get there by 5:00 but they won't guarantee it. They better be there by 5 because I'll be home shortly after 5 with my 2 yr old. There's no way I'm having my son home with an exposed outlet hanging out of the wall! What the H@LL are they thinking!!! We had the electric off for a little while, but we can't keep it off considering it's over 100 degrees here! It's always something in my house!  Thanks for letting me vent!
