Ordering shower thank yous
and I have a question:
Do you think it's better to print a personalized thank you inside the card or hand write them myself? I would usually hand write them but a lot of the sites show them with a personalized verse.
Even if I personalized them I would still write the gift-givers name and sign it.

I would always write soemthing personal. Even if you get pre-printed ones then still write soemthing more than your name and theirs.
IMO the ones that are preprinted and the sender does not write anything is kinda rude.....But that might just be me.

I feel the same way. I'm just surprised that every site I look at has the option to write a pre-printed thank you. It must be something new.

hard one... I like to write a little something in each thank you to take the time and make it more personal but if time isn't on your side, then getting a pre printed verse is fine. there is nothing wrong with this.

I personally prefer hand written notes in TYs... People took the time to shop for me so I always try to acknowledge what each person gave, I think it shows more thought & appreciation than a pre-printed note with just a signature or the generic "TY for your generous gift, signed X" note. But everyone's different!

It's considered good form to hand-write thank you's. People took the time and the money to come to your party and buy you a gift; you owe them the courtesy of one minute of your time to thank them for doing so.
It's hard with pregnant, swollen fingers, I know! i just tried to do like 5 a day until I was done.

Thank you. I totally agree with you all but just wanted to get some feedback. I also did get a pre-printed card with no personal greeting for a recent baby shower and didn't love the sentiment.
Now if I could only decide on a design!

you could always take the quote out of a thank you and just write it out yourself and it will sound really good.
