If you have a deck what kind of steps or stairs do you have?

We just bought our house and there is a small deck with a swing down ladder. I HATE it! I feel like with 2 toddlers next year it is going to be a nightmare.

Right now we have a pretty much ground level large deck with this swing down ladder to a small pool height deck.

We are trying to figure out how to change it. We don't have the $$ right now to do the entire large deck over.

I hope this makes sense. DH and I are arguing right now because he thinks it is fine the way it is. I would much rather have some sort of stairs.
