cherry tomatoes
My brother's garden produced a ton of cherry tomatoes this year so he gave me a big bag of them. Can I use them to make sauce? I've only made sauce from scratch once and I used roma tomatoes. Any other recipes or ideas? I don't want to see them go to waste. Thanks!

Don't know about sauce, but you could use them to make a caprese salad with fresh mozzarella balls, chopped fresh basil, olive oil and either a splash of balsamic and lemon. You could also roast them together with other vegetables like zucchini or eggplant. They are so good roasted!

I make a quick sauce with them...garlic and onion softened in olive oil...add the cherry tomatoes...cook until they burst...add fresh basil and then put over spaghetti...its light and refreshing!

i do the same thing. i have so many tomatoes lately i do this once a week or so
