Installing Car Seat
Where do I put the car seat? The middle, behind driver's seat or behind passenger? I would think middle or behind passenger. Not sure and they don't say in my car manual. They say any back seat position is good.

I found some info...it says the safest spot in a car for an infant car seat is the center because it is farthest from the outside of the vehicle.

The safest spot for a car seat is in the center... but ONLY if you have a plain seatback back there.. Our Subaru Forester has a panel in the center that you can pull down to use as an armrest. A lot of SUVs and especially higher-end cars do too. In that case, the best place for the car seat is the rear passenger seat.

We have a 2007 Subaru Forester and have never been able to get a car seat in the middle, we tried with DD but couldn't get it to work because the anchors were only for the 2 sides. Now DD will be behind me and the new baby will be behind the passenger, having them next to each other might create a war!

I had my car seat professionally installed for free. There are a few services that will install for free and they will tell you the safiest place to install.
