flights to houston

Hi all,

I need help from those that either live in the area or have flown to houston before. I am trying to search for flights to visit my cousin that lives in the houston area for a long weekend at the end of september or in october. He is closest to bush airport but said i could fly into hobby as well. Do you know of any low cost airlines that you recommend i specifically search for? I am not sure if i could keep it under $500 if possible for both myself and my DH, so far i've been finding flights on an expedia search for the both of us $600 and up.. so not sure if there are some airline sites i should look up specifically... TIA!

I checked Kayak, Southwest and JetBlue and it seems that the best deal seems to be approx $300pp.

I fly back n forth to hobby at least 3 times a year..lately I'm lucky if I find airfare for 350, so I think 600 for 2 people is pretty good
