Braxton Hicks
Well went for my week OB appointment last night. I was telling her how I feel my LO moving all the time and how sometimes it feels like i have a hard softball in my stomache. She said its braxton hicks. It starts early on but normally you cant feel it right away. I have been feeling this for quite some time now. I have to start drinking more. Apparently dehydration can make you feel it more than normal. Leave it to me... Every symptom possible, I HAVE IT ALL!!! Anyone else have this early on?

Re: Braxton Hicks
For my first, I didn't know they were BH until a week or so before my DD...but I had been having them.
Now on my third, I went for a test at 15 weeks and there was a medical intern there and I told him that I feel BH. He said impossible that early. I wanted to roll my eyes at him, since I was BTDT and he's just learning all of this. I later found out that you can get them as early as 9 weeks!
I have them constantly! My OB says the same that I need to drink more, but I am peeing pretty clear...so not sure. I find if I lay down on my side, it goes away.

Re: Braxton Hicks
How early are you? I had them starting around 20w or so. I noticed them mostly when I:
- Hadn't drank enough water - Had to pee - Was walking too much / overexerting myself
So, as a teacher, on my feet all day and sometimes 2 hours between bathroom breaks, I'd feel them constantly! They don't hurt you or your baby though. It's just your uterus doing what it does, and it does it more strongly when you are dehydrated, have to pee, or are overdoing it.
