Feeling Baby move? UPDATE
Hey ladies...
When did you feel your baby move, and what did it feel like?
I sometimes feel little bits of pressure kind of building up and poking through. My dr. said that is prob not the baby's movements. I am 23 weeks tomorrow, and when I called today to tell them that is still all Im feeling, they want me to come in this aftrernoon.
Anyone have a similiar experience?
TIA!!!
UPDATE- Thank you everyone!!! Everythings good! I was a little disappointed with the appt though, my dr. literally listened to the heart beat for 20 seconds and said everything was fine.
How do I know if I have an anterior placenta? Or a tilted cervix? Hmm wish I had more answers.
I def feel almost gas/ muscle twitches once in a while since 20 weeks but the dr. had told me thats prob not it. I think it has to be. But I didnt feel them all weekend, thats why I called.
I dont own a doppler, anyone know where I can find one?
Thanks again!

Re: Feeling Baby move?
My first movements were later in my pregnancy - I have anterior placenta. Doctor said that may have been why it took so long for me to feel baby. And for me it felt like a muscle spasm type of feeling. HTH Good Luck today

Re: Feeling Baby move?
I am 20 weeks and have been feeling her since 17 weeks. I know its her. The sono tech was surprised today when I told her how much I feel her. She said it's early but thats great. It just feel like gas sometimes other times its definatley more of a poking. I can feel it from the outside already too. If i put hand where I feel the movement, I can feel it. Trying to get DH to feel it now.

I'm in the same boat...I didn't feel anything until about 23 weeks but when I started feeling them, they were unmistakable, I could see my whole belly twitch!
ETA: sometimes it feels like a muscle twitch, sometimes like an actual kick and more recently, what I would describe as a rolling pin going across my tummy.

Re: Feeling Baby move?
I have felt consistent movement since 18 weeks. At 23 weeks it was unmistakeable because you can see/feel my belly move. I am now 25 weeks.

Re: Feeling Baby move?
I started feeling slight movement at 17 weeks, kind of like gas bubbles or muscle spasms. Now at 22 weeks I feel almost like a "wave" like type of feeling underneath my belly button, there is no mistaking that it is baby for me at this point but just to ease your fears, my friend just had her baby and she said she did not feel him move until about 26 weeks.

Re: Feeling Baby move?
I am 28 weeks and only started feeling consistent movement in the last week or so. I started feeling bubbles around 17 weeks but didn't feel any movement until about 23 weeks. But even that was very sporadic. I'm plus size so my doc told me it would probably take a little longer for me to feel consistent movement.

Re: Feeling Baby move?
I started feel flutters around 15 weeks and movement by 17. at 20 they were full kicks and at 22 weeks (now) I see my belly move and can feel kicks from the outside. DH felt kicks at 20ish weeks.
But everyone is very different and I have read that if your cervix is tilted you might not feel anything so don't worry until you see your ob! good luck, I'm sure everything is fine!
do you own a doppler? one day I didn't feel the baby move at all and since I feel it all the time now I used the doppler and I felt so much better.

Re: Feeling Baby move? UPDATE
the dr would tell you from the sono if you have an anterior placenta. i was told around 15 weeks or so. every dr is different but from what i have heard, it's not anything to be concerned about at all. just that you will feel movement later.
it will feel like gas bubbles and then it will get stronger and you will know it's a kick. hang in there, i am sure you will feel something very soon.

this is more than likely your baby's movement, this is what I have been feeling in those first few weeks where I felt something and everyone I asked said the same thing..don't worry though, very soon you will feel stronger kicks
